     Philip Jennings was born circa 1679.2 He was the son of Edward Jennings and Elizabeth Horne.3,4 He married, secondly, Dorothy Clerke, daughter of George Clerke and Dorothy Pearse.1 He married, firstly, Diana Bowyer, daughter of Sir William Bowyer, 2nd Bt. and Lady Frances Cecil, on 23 December 1705.2 He died on 10 February 1740.3
     He lived at Duddleston, Shropshire, EnglandG.1 He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.2 He was educated at St. John's College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England.2

     Sir Philip Jennings-Clerke, 1st and last Bt. was born circa 1722.2 He was the son of Philip Jennings and Dorothy Clerke.2 He married Anne Thompson before 1758.2 He died on 14 January 1788, without surviving male issue.2 He was also reported to have died on 22 April 1788.2
     He was given the name of Philip Jennings at birth.2 He matriculated at Oriel College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG, on 7 November 1739.2 Between 1760 and 1764 his name was legally changed to Philip Jennings-Clerke.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Totnes between 1768 and 1788.2 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Horse Guards.2 He was created 1st Baronet Jennings-Clerke, of Duddlestone Hall, co. Shropshire [Great Britain] on 26 October 1774.2
     On his death, his baronetcy became extinct.2

     Anthony Henry Evelyn Ashley was born on 25 February 1894.2 He was the son of Rt. Hon. Anthony Evelyn Melbourne Ashley and Lady Alice Elizabeth Cole.2 He married Albinia Mary Evans-Lombe, daughter of Major Edward Henry Evans-Lombe and Albinia Harriet Leslie-Melville, on 6 March 1920.1 He died on 14 January 1921 at age 26.1
     He gained the rank of Captain in the Coldstream Guards.2

     Sir William Clerke was the son of Nicholas Clerke and Elizabeth Ramsay.2 He married Mary Brown, daughter of Sir John Brown.1 He died in 1624.1
