Sir Hugh Cholmley, 3rd Bt. was born circa 1662.1 He was the son of Sir William Cholmley, 2nd Bt. and Katharine Savile.1 He died on 2 July 1665.1 He was buried at East Peckham, Kent, EnglandG.1 He died intestate and his estate was administered on 28 July 1665.1

Sir Hugh Cholmley, 4th Bt. was born on 21 July 1632 at Fyling Hall, Yorkshire, EnglandG.1 He was the son of Sir Hugh Cholmley, 1st Bt. and Elizabeth Twysden.1 He married Lady Anne Compton, daughter of Spencer Compton, 2nd Earl of Northampton and Mary Beaumont, on 19 February 1665/66 at Hamerton, Huntingdonshire, EnglandG.1 He died on 9 January 1688/89 at age 56 at Whitby, Yorkshire, EnglandG, without male issue.1
He held the office of Governor of Tangiers, Morocco in 1665.1 He succeeded as the 4th Baronet Cholmley, of Whitby, co. York [E., 1641] on 2 July 1665.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Northampton in 1679.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Thirsk between 1685 and 1687.1
