     John Vanderstegen Drake was born on 5 June 1825.1 He was the son of John Drake and Frances Vanderstegen.2 He was born on 4 August 1880.2 He married Margaret Ramsay, daughter of Ebenezer Ramsay and Margaret Flint, in 1850.2
     He lived at Chilland, Itchen Valley, Winchester, Hampshire, EnglandG.2 He became a Master of the Worshipful Company of Grocers in 1879.2

     John Ramsay Drake was born in 1853.1 He was the son of John Vanderstegen Drake and Margaret Ramsay.1 He married Evangeline Lockhart Hughes, daughter of Sir Alfred Hughes, 9th Bt. and Maria Smith, on 7 December 1881.3 He died in 1942.4
     He was educated at Uppingham School, Uppingham, Rutland, EnglandG.4 He held the office of Mayor of Hemel Hempstead.1 He lived before 1910 at Gadebridge Park, Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire, EnglandG.4 He lived at Batchwood Hall, St. Albans, Hertfordshire, EnglandG.4 He lived at 29 Wellington Court, Knightsbridge, London, EnglandG.4

     Evangeline Lockhart Hughes is the daughter of Sir Alfred Hughes, 9th Bt. and Maria Smith.2,3 She married John Ramsay Drake, son of John Vanderstegen Drake and Margaret Ramsay, on 7 December 1881.4 She died on 26 December 1937.4
     From 7 December 1881, her married name became Drake.4

     John Hughes Drake was born on 10 August 1883.2,3 He was the son of John Ramsay Drake and Evangeline Lockhart Hughes.4 He married Muriel Rosdew Raffles-Flint, daughter of Venerable Stamford Raffles Raffles-Flint and Ethel Maud Quentin, on 17 June 1908.1 He died on 28 September 1970 at age 87.1
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.4 He gained the rank of Major in the Hertfordshire Yeomanry.4 He fought in the First World War between 1914 and 1919, serving in Egypt and France, and was mentioned in despatches three times.3 He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.) in 1917.3,1 He was awarded the Territorial Decoration (T.D.)1 He was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1919.4,1 He became a Master of the Worshipful Company of Grocers in 1925.4 He lived at Inshriach, Aviemore, Inverness-shire, ScotlandG.1

     From 17 June 1908, her married name became Drake.2 She was an artist.3

     Venerable Stamford Raffles Raffles-Flint was born on 6 February 1847.1 He was the son of Reverend William Charles Raffles Flint and Jenny Rosdew Mudge.1 He married Ethel Maud Quentin, daughter of George Augustus Frederick Quentin, on 23 April 1884.2 He died on 15 August 1925 at age 78.1
