     Sir William Castleton, 1st Bt. was born circa 1590.1 He was the son of William Castleton and Anne Hill.1 He married unknown Massam.1 He died circa 1643.1
     He held the office of Sheriff of Suffolk from 1641 to 1642.1 He was created 1st Baronet Castleton, of St. Edmondsbury, co. Suffolk [England] on 9 August 1641.1

     Sir John Castleton, 3rd Bt. was baptised on 4 August 1644 at Sturston, Suffolk, EnglandG.1 He was the son of Sir John Castleton, 2nd Bt. and Margaret Morse.1 He married Bridget Read, daughter of Thomas Read and Bridget Crofts, on 8 November 1677 at Bardwell, Suffolk, EnglandG.1 He died circa June 1705, without issue.1 He was buried on 14 June 1705 at Sturston, Suffolk, EnglandG.1 His will was proven (by probate) in March 1706.1
     He was educated at Eye School, EnglandG.1 He was educated at Botesdale School, EnglandG.1 He matriculated at Caius College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, EnglandG, on 29 June 1661.1 He was admitted to Gray's Inn on 2 May 1662.1 He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Castleton, of St. Edmondsbury, co. Suffolk [E., 1641] circa November 1677.1

     From 8 November 1677, her married name became Castleton.1
