Sir Nicholas de Cauntelo, 3rd Lord Cauntelo was born after 1293.1 He was the son of William de Cauntelo, 1st Lord Cauntelo and Eve de Bolteby.1 He married, firstly, Tiplaine (?)1 He married, secondly, Joan de Littelbury, daughter of Sir Humphrey de Littelbury.1 He died on 31 July 1355.1
He succeeded as the 3rd Lord Cauntelo [E., 1299] circa 1321.1 He was appointed Knight on 19 April 1326.1 He held the office of Keeper of Berwick-on-Tweed on 2 April 1335.1 On 9 December 1343 at Gresley, Derbyshire, EnglandG, he founded the Abbey of Beauvale.1
