     Sir Alexander Mackenzie of Gairloch, 3rd Bt. was the son of Sir Alexander Mackenzie of Gairloch, 2nd Bt. and Janet Mackenzie.² He married, firstly, Margaret Mackenzie, daughter of Roderick Mackenzie, 7th of Redcastle and Hannah Anna Murdoch, on 29 November 1755.² He married, secondly, Jean Gorry, daughter of John Gorry of Balblair, on 26 July 1760.² He died on 13 April 1770.²
     He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Mackenzie, of Gairloch [N.S., 1703] on 9 June 1766.²

     General John Mackenzie was born circa 1764.² He was the son of Sir Alexander Mackenzie of Gairloch, 3rd Bt. and Jean Gorry.² He married Lilias Chisholm, daughter of Alexander Chisholm, The Chisholm and Margaret Mackenzie.¹ He died on 14 June 1860.²
     He gained the rank of officer between 1779 and 1814 in the British Army.²
