George Lumley-Savile, 3rd Baron Savile of Rufford2
He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.3 He succeeded as the 3rd Baron Savile of Rufford, co. Nottingham [U.K., 1888] on 3 April 1931.1 He fought in the Second World War.1 He gained the rank of officer between 1943 and 1944 in the Duke of Wellington's Regiment (W R), attached to 1st Battalion, Lincolnshire Regiment in Burma.3 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of the West Riding, Yorkshire in 1954.3 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Dewsbury in 1955.3 He was appointed Commander, Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem (C.St.J.) in 1982.1 He lived in 2003 at Walshaw, Hebden Bridge, Yorkshire, England.3

He was given the name of John Savile Lumley at birth.1 He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.1 He was with the Foreign Office between 1873 and 1889.1 He was Attaché to Brussels in 1874.1 He was 2nd Secretary to Athens in 1879.1 He gained the rank of Major in 1891 in the Nottinghamshire Imperial Yeomanry.4 He succeeded as the 2nd Baron Savile of Rufford, co.
