Sir John Chetwode, 1st Bt.1

     Sir John Chetwode, 1st Bt. was baptised on 4 September 1666 at Mucklestone, Staffordshire, EnglandG.2 He was the son of Philip Chetwode and Hester Touchet.3 He married, secondly, Catherine Tayleur, daughter of John Tayleur.1 He married, firstly, Mary Raymond, daughter of Sir Jonathan Raymond and Anne Jemmett, on 13 September 1695 at Allhallows', London Wall, London, EnglandG.2 He died on 22 April 1733 at age 66 at Oakley, Staffordshire, EnglandG.2 He was buried on 27 April 1733 at Mucklestone, Staffordshire, EnglandG.2
     He held the office of Sheriff of Staffordshire between January 1698 and December 1698.2 He was created 1st Baronet Chetwode, of Oakley, co. Stafford [England] on 6 April 1700.2
