     Ellen Smyth was the daughter of J. Wilmot Smyth.² She married Reverend William Caulfeild, son of Commodore Thomas Gordon Caulfeild and Theodosia Talbot, on 9 July 1840.¹ She died in 1890.¹
     From 9 July 1840, her married name became Caulfeild.¹

     Brig.-Gen. James Edward Wilmot Smyth Caulfeild was born on 4 September 1850.¹ He was the son of Reverend William Caulfeild and Ellen Smyth.² He married Sophia Morley Parker, daughter of William Alexander Parker and Sophia Amelia McClintock, on 22 May 1876.¹ He died on 19 September 1925 at age 75.¹
     He graduated from Trinity College, Dublin University, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland^G, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)¹ He gained the rank of Colonel in the 2nd West India Regiment.² He was Brigadier-General of the troops in Jamaica between 1902 and 1906.¹ He was Brigadier-General of the 96th Infantry Brigade in 1914.² He was Brigadier-General of the 8th Reserve Infantry Brigade between 1915 and 1916.² He was appointed Companion, Order of St. Michael and St. George (C.M.G.) in 1917.¹ He gained the rank of Honorary Brigadier-General.²

     William Alexander Parker was born circa 1819.² He married Sophia Amelia McClintock on 20 January 1852 at North Leith, Midlothian, Scotland.² He died on 27 July 1886 at Dundee, Angus, Scotland.²
     He held the office of Chief Justice of British Honduras between 1875 and 1881.¹

     Sophia Morley Parker was baptised on 28 October 1854 at Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.² She was the daughter of William Alexander Parker and Sophia Amelia McClintock.^3,2 She married Brig.-Gen. James Edward Wilmot Smyth Caulfeild, son of Reverend William Caulfeild and Ellen Smyth, on 22 May 1876.¹ She died on 20 December 1932 at age 78.¹
     From 22 May 1876, her married name became Caulfeild.¹

     Lieutenant William Talbot McClintock Caulfeild was born on 7 August 1879.¹ He was the son of Brig.-Gen. James Edward Wilmot Smyth Caulfeild and Sophia Morley Parker.² He died on 28 May 1907 at age 27, accidentally killed in a military balloon, unmarried.¹
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Royal Engineers.¹

     Colonel St. George Frederick Gordon Caulfeild was born on 25 January 1881.¹ He was the son of Brig.-Gen. James Edward Wilmot Smyth Caulfeild and Sophia Morley Parker.² He married Eila Rosslyn John, daughter of Reginald John, on 28 July 1917.¹ He died on 26 November 1973 at age 92.¹
     He was educated at Bradfield School, England^G.¹ He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in despatches.² He gained the rank of Colonel in the Royal Marines.¹ He was awarded the Order of the Rising Sun of Japan.² He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for West Sussex.¹ He fought in the Second World War, with the Naval Staff, Admiralty.² He was Chairman of the West Sussex Magistrates Courts Commitee between 1952 and 1955.¹

     Reginald John lived at Colombo, Sri Lanka^G.¹

     Eila Rosslyn John was the daughter of Reginald John.² She married Colonel St. George Frederick Gordon Caulfeild, son of Brig.-Gen. James Edward Wilmot Smyth Caulfeild and Sophia Morley Parker, on 28 July 1917.¹ She died on 12 January 1973.¹
     From 28 July 1917, her married name became Caulfeild.¹

     Susan Charlotte Green was born on 6 May 1944.¹

     Sir William Lindsay Murphy was born on 4 May 1887.² He was the son of Canon R. W. Murphy.² He married Betty Mary Ormsby, daughter of Reverend Thomas Ormsby and Lucy Mary Thomson, in 1922.² He died on 15 April 1965 at age 77.² He was buried at Clifden, County Galway, Ireland.
     He was educated at The Abbey School, Tipperary, County Tipperary, Ireland^G.² He graduated from Trinity College, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland^G, in 1909 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)² He was with the Ceylon Civil Service in 1910.² He held the office of Mayor of Colombo, Ceylon between 1932 and 1937.² He held the office of Colonial Secretary of Bermuda between 1942 and 1945.² He was appointed Companion, Order of St. Michael and St. George (C.M.G.) in 1944.² He was awarded the honorary degree of Doctor of Law (LL.D.) by Trinity College, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland^G, in 1945.² He held the office of Governor and Commander-in-Chief of the Bahamas between 1945 and 1949.² He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of St. Michael and St. George (K.C.M.G.) in 1946.¹ He was Acting Governor of Southern Rhodesia in 1954.² He was appointed Knight, Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem (K.St.J.)² He lived at Milford, Tuam, County Galway, Ireland^G.¹
