     David Martineau was born circa 1697 at Norwich, Norfolk, England^G.¹ He was the son of Gaston Martineau and Marie Pierre.¹ He married Elizabeth Finch, daughter of Peter Finch, in 1721. He died on 20 May 1729.¹
     He was a surgeon.¹

     Elizabeth Finch was baptised on 16 August 1702 at Church of St. George Tombland, Norwich, Norfolk, England.^1,2 She was the daughter of Peter Finch.¹ She married David Martineau, son of Gaston Martineau and Marie Pierre, in 1721. She married, secondly, Dr. Kirvin Wright, son of Kirvin Wright and Sarah Meadows, on 14 July 1738 at Bramerton, Norfolk, England.³ She died in 1748.¹
     From 1721, her married name became Martineau.¹ From 14 July 1738, her married name became Wright.³

     Gaston Martineau was born circa 1654 at Bergerac, France^G.¹ He married Marie Pierre, daughter of Guillaume Pierre and Marie Jourdain, on 26 September 1693 at Norwich, Norfolk, England^G.¹

     Marie Pierre is the daughter of Guillaume Pierre and Marie Jourdain.¹ She married Gaston Martineau on 26 September 1693 at Norwich, Norfolk, England^G.¹
     From 26 September 1693, her married name became Martineau.¹

     Guillaume Pierre married Marie Jourdain, daughter of Nicholas Jourdain.

     Marie Jourdain is the daughter of Nicholas Jourdain.¹ She married Guillaume Pierre.
     Her married name became Pierre.¹
