     Sir Richard Carew, 1st Bt. was born circa 1580.1 He was the son of Richard Carew and Juliana Arundel.1 He married, firstly, Bridget Chudleigh, daughter of John Chudleigh and Elizabeth Speke, before 1609.1 He married, secondly, Grace Rolle, daughter of Robert Rolle and Joane Hele, on 18 August 1621 at Petrockstowe, EnglandG.1 He died circa March 1642/43.1 He was buried on 14 March 1642/43 at Antony, Cornwall, EnglandG.1
     He matriculated at Merton College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG, on 20 October 1594.1 He was admitted to Middle Temple in 1597.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Cornwall in 1614.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for St. Michael's from 1621 to 1622.1 He was created 1st Baronet Carew, of Antony, co. Cornwall [England] on 9 August 1641.1
