Mortimer Henry Marion Durand was born on 12 November 1898.2,3 He was the son of Colonel Sir Edward Law Durand, 1st Bt. and Maude Ellen Heber-Percy.1 He married, firstly, Evelyn Mary Carroll, daughter of Captain unknown Carroll, on 30 August 1922.2 He and Evelyn Mary Carroll were divorced in 1930.2 He married, secondly, Beatrice Garvan-Sheridan, daughter of unknown Sheridan and Beatrice Maude Barones van Tuyll van Serooskerken, on 28 January 1931.2 He died on 18 February 1969 at age 70.2
