Percy Hamilton Synge was born in 1872.2 He was the son of Reverend Alexander Hamilton Synge and Eugenia Money Elliott.1 He married, firstly, Hon. Ella Campbell Scarlett, daughter of Lt.-Gen. William Frederick Scarlett, 3rd Baron Abinger and Helen Magruder, on 14 December 1901.1 He and Hon. Ella Campbell Scarlett were divorced in 1921.1 He married, secondly, Dollie Brenda Davis, daughter of Brian Davis, on 22 December 1921.1 He died on 12 December 1941, without issue.1

James Sutherland, 2nd Lord Duffus was the son of Sir Alexander Sutherland, 1st Lord Duffus and Lady Margaret Stuart.2 He married Lady Margaret Mackenzie, daughter of Kenneth Mackenzie, 3rd Earl of Seaforth and Isabel Mackenzie, circa 1674.2 He died on 24 September 1705.2
He succeeded as the 2nd Lord Duffus [S., 1650] on 31 August 1674.2 He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) [Scotland] in 1686.2 He killed a creditor, William Ross, of Kindeace. He fled to England where he received immunity for the murder.2
