     Rear-Admiral Richard Byron was born on 30 July 1769.¹ He was the son of Rev. Hon. Richard Byron and Mary Farmer.² He married Sarah Sykes, daughter of James Sykes, on 23 September 1801.¹ He died on 2 September 1837 at age 68.¹
     He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.)¹

     Sarah Sykes was the daughter of James Sykes.² She married Rear-Admiral Richard Byron, son of Rev. Hon. Richard Byron and Mary Farmer, on 23 September 1801.¹ She died on 11 August 1861.¹
     From 23 September 1801, her married name became Byron.

     Commander Richard Byron was born in 1802.¹ He was the son of Rear-Admiral Richard Byron and Sarah Sykes.² He died on 23 February 1843, at sea, while in command of HM Sloop Champion.¹
     He gained the rank of Commander in the Royal Navy.¹

     Captain James Byron was born in 1803.¹ He was the son of Rear-Admiral Richard Byron and Sarah Sykes.² He died in May 1858.¹
     He gained the rank of Captain in the British Army.¹

     Reverend John Byron was born on 21 September 1804.¹ He was the son of Rear-Admiral Richard Byron and Sarah Sykes.² He married Mary Richardson, daughter of William Richardson, on 8 December 1830.¹ He died on 6 December 1878 at age 74.¹
     He was the Vicar at Elmstone-Hardwick, Gloucestershire, England^G.¹ He was Chaplain to the Duke of Sutherland.¹

     William Richardson lived at Leatherhead, Surrey, England^G.¹

     Mary Richardson was the daughter of William Richardson.² She married Reverend John Byron, son of Rear-Admiral Richard Byron and Sarah Sykes, on 8 December 1830.¹ She died on 30 December 1842.¹
     From 8 December 1830, her married name became Byron.

     Maj.-Gen. John Byron was born on 14 September 1832 at Guildford, London, England.² He was the son of Reverend John Byron and Mary Richardson.³ He married Susan Amelia Graves Chiappini, daughter of Edward Lorenzo Chiappini and Anna Catharina Margaretha Gie, on 24 October 1865 at Cape Town, Cape Province, South Africa.² He died on 13 August 1895 at age 62 at Surbiton, Surrey, England.²
     He fought in the Crimea War in 1854, where he was taken prisoner by the Russians at Sebastopol.² He fought in the Indian Mutiny in 1857.² He gained the rank of Major-General in the 10th Regiment of Foot.² He was Major-General of the 10th Foot.¹

     Dr. John Briggs was born in 1757.¹ He was the son of Gilbert Briggs.¹ He married Martha Pybus, daughter of John Pybus and Martha Small, in 1784 at India.¹ He married Honor Dodson, daughter of John Dodson and Sarah Carey, on 8 January 1798 at Madras, India.¹ He died on 5 September 1830 at Hereford, Herefordshire, England.¹
     He was Surgeon-Geenral to Madras.¹
