     Brownlow Cecil, 9th Earl of Exeter was born on 21 September 1725.1 He was the son of Brownlow Cecil, 8th Earl of Exeter and Hannah Sophia Chambers.1 He married, firstly, Letitia Townshend, daughter of Hon. Horatio Townshend and Alice Starkie, on 24 July 1749.3 He married, secondly, Anne Maria Cheatham, daughter of Job Cheatham, on 23 April 1770.3 He died on 26 December 1793 at age 68, without issue.1
     He succeeded as the 9th Earl of Exeter [E., 1605] on 3 November 1754.3 He succeeded as the 10th Baron of Burghley, co. Northampton [E., 1571] on 3 November 1754.3 He held the office of Recorder of Stamford.3 He held the office of Lord-Lieutenant of Rutland.3

     George Augustus Frederick Percy Sydney Smythe, 7th Viscount Strangford was born on 13 April 1818 at Stockholm, SwedenG.1 He was the son of Percy Clinton Sydney Smythe, 6th Viscount Strangford and Ellen Burke.1 He married Margaret Cunningham Kincaid Lennox, daughter of John Lennox Kincaid Lennox of Woodhead and Kincaid, on 9 November 1857 at Bradgate Park, Leicester, Leicestershire, England.3 He died on 23 November 1857 at age 39.1
     He gained the title of 7th Viscount Strangford. He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.3 He was educated at St. John's College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England.3 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Canterbury between 1841 and 1852.3 He held the office of Under-Secretary of State, Foreign Affairs in 1845.3 He gained the title of 2nd Baron Penhurst, of Penshurst in Kent [U.K., 1825] in 1855.
