     Rt. Hon. Sir John Mellor was born on 1 January 1809 at Oldham, Lancashire, England.2 He was the son of John Mellor.3 He married Elizabeth Cooke Moseley, daughter of William Moseley, on 24 September 1833.3 He died on 26 April 1887 at age 78 at Kingsdown, Kent, England.2

     Arthur Walsh, 2nd Baron Ormathwaite was born on 14 April 1827.1 He was the son of John Benn Walsh, 1st Baron Ormathwaite and Lady Jane Grey.2 He married Lady Katherine Emily Mary Somerset, daughter of Henry Somerset, 7th Duke of Beaufort and Emily Frances Smith, on 20 July 1858.3 He died on 27 March 1920 at age 92.1
     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Leominster between 1865 and 1868.4 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Radnorshire between 1868 and 1880.4 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Berkshire.4 He held the office of Lord-Lieutenant of Radnorshire between 1875 and 1895.4 He succeeded as the 2nd Baron Ormathwaite, of Ormathwaite, co. Cumberland [U.K., 1868] on 3 February 1881.1 He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Walsh, of Ormathwaite, co. Cumberland [U.K., 1804] on 3 February 1881.1
