Edward Francis Yeaman was born on 22 February 1912 at Newtown, Sydney, New South Wales, AustraliaG.1 He married, firstly, Celia Elizabeth Grace Snell, daughter of Isaac Snell and Mary Alice Adams, in 1931.1 He married, secondly, Susan Mary Allen, daughter of Gerald Allen and Louise Hilda Etheleen Buffett, in 1948.1 He died on 20 June 1994 at age 82 at Norfolk IslandG.1
He gained the rank of Lance Corporal in the 2/6 Armoured Regiment, and 2/1 Forestry Company.1 He fought in the Second World War.1
He came to Norfolk with his parents at the age of 7. He joined with his uncle in the sawmilling business, then in the early 1920's, founded his own company. He was a footballer for the Longridge Blues, a lawn bowler, and a keen cricketer. He served with the Armoured Division in New Guinea in World War II, and later was transferred to Forestry, working again in New Guinea in the Markham Valley.1
