     Thomas Cotton was the son of Thomas Cotton and Lucy Harvey.2 He married, secondly, Dorothy Tamworth, daughter of Christopher Tamworth. He married, firstly, Elizabeth Shirley, daughter of Francis Shirley and Dorothy Gifford.2
     He lived at Connington, Huntingdonshire, EnglandG.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Huntingdon in 1558.2

     James Butler, 9th Baron Caher was the son of Richard Butler and Jane Butler.2 He married Sarah Nichols, daughter of Henry Nichols and Jane Purcell. He died in July 1788 at East IndiesG.2 His will was proven (by probate) in 1794.2
     He lived at Fethard, County Tipperary, IrelandG.2 He succeeded as the 9th Baron Caher [I., 1583] on 10 June 1788.2

     Rt. Rev. John Law was born on 6 May 1745 at Greystoke, Cumberland, EnglandG.2 He was born in 1745.3 He was the son of Rt. Rev. Edmund Law and Mary Christian.1 He married Anne Plaskett, daughter of Reverend William Plaskett, on 17 January 1782.1 He died on 19 March 1810 at age 64 at Dublin, County Dublin, IrelandG, without issue.1
     He was educated at Charterhouse School, Godalming, Surrey, EnglandG.1 He graduated from Christ's College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, EnglandG, in 1769 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 He was the Vicar in 1773 at WarksworthG.1 He was Prebendary in 1773 at Carlisle, Cumberland, EnglandG.1 He was the Rector in 1777 at Great Salkeld, EnglandG.1 He was Archdeacon of Carlisle in 1777.1 He was Chaplain to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland, the 3rd Duke of Portland.1 He graduated from Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, EnglandG, in 1785 with a Doctor of Divinty (D.D.)1 He held the office of Bishop of Clonfert between 1785 and 1787.1 He held the office of Bishop of Killala between 1787 and 1795.1 He held the office of Bishop of Elphin between 1795 and 1810.1 He has an extensive biographical entry in the Dictionary of National Biography.1
