     Fairlie Estelle Caroline Watson was the daughter of Lt.-Col. Arthur John Watson and Fairlie Caroline Gordon Anderson.1,2 She married Victor Alexander Gascoyne-Cecil, son of Rt. Rev. Lord Rupert Ernest William Cecil and Lady Florence Mary Bootle-Wilbraham, on 25 November 1915.1 She died in 1980.1
     Fairlie Estelle Caroline Watson also went by the nick-name of Stella. Her married name became Gascoyne-Cecil.

Rupert Arthur Victor Cecil was born on 1 May 1917 at London, EnglandG.2 He was the son of Victor Alexander Gascoyne-Cecil and Fairlie Estelle Caroline Watson.1 He married, firstly, Helen Moira Rosemary Philips Luker, daughter of Colonel Ronald Luker, on 12 October 1940. He and Helen Moira Rosemary Philips Luker were divorced in 1974.2 He married, secondly, Anna Teresa Hodson, daughter of Donald Hodson, after 1974.2 He died on 6 July 2004 at age 87.2
     He was given the name of Rupert Arthur Victor Gascoyne-Cecil at birth.2 He was educated at Stowe School, Buckingham, Buckinghamshire, EnglandG.1 He fought in the Second World War.1 He gained the rank of Wing Commander in the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve.1 He graduated from Balliol College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG, in 1945 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 He was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross (D.F.C.) and bar.1 He graduated from Balliol College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG, in 1949 with a Doctor of Philosophy (D.Phil.)1 In 1955 his name was legally changed to Rupert Arthur Victor Cecil by Deed Poll.2 He was Vice-Principal of Linacre College, Oxford University.1
