Sir Randal William Mac Donnell, 1st and last Marquess of Antrim1

     Sir Randal William Mac Donnell, 1st and last Marquess of Antrim was born on 4 November 1749.1 He was the son of Alexander Mac Donnell, 5th Earl of Antrim and Anne Plunkett.1 He married Hon. Letitia Morres, daughter of Hervey Morres, 1st Viscount Mountmorres and Lady Letitia Ponsonby, on 3 July 1774.2 He died on 29 July 1791 at age 41 at Antrim House, Merrion Square, Dublin, County Dublin, IrelandG.1 His will (dated 14 August 1790) was proven (by probate) on 15 August 1791 at Dublin, County Dublin, IrelandG.2
     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for County Antrim between 1768 and 1775.1 He held the office of Sheriff of County Antrim in 1771.1 He succeeded as the 6th Earl of Antrim [I., 1620] on 13 October 1775.1 He succeeded as the 6th Viscount Dunluce, co. Antrim [I., 1618] on 13 October 1775.1 He was appointed Knight, Order of the Bath (K.B.) on 5 May 1779.1 On 5 February 1783 he was nominated to the Order of St. Patrick, but was never invested, being unwilling to resign from the Order of the Bath.2 He was created 1st Viscount Dunluce [Ireland] on 19 June 1785, with special remainder to his daughters in order of seniority.2 He was created 1st Earl of Antrim [Ireland] on 19 June 1785, with special remainder to his daughters in order of seniority.2 He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) [Ireland] in 1786.2 He was created 1st Marquess of Antrim [Ireland] on 18 August 1789.2
     Sir John Blaquiere writes of him in 1775 as "an idle, unsteady young man, not to be depended upon."1
     On his death, the Marquessate of Antrim, and the two earlier creations of Earl of Antrim and Viscount Dunluce became extinct.2

Charlotte Freeman

     Charlotte Freeman was the daughter of Thomas Freeman.1 She married Maj.-Gen. Sherrington Talbot, son of Rt. Rev. William Talbot and Catherine King.1
     Her married name became Talbot.1

Indiana Talbot1

     Indiana Talbot was the daughter of Maj.-Gen. Sherrington Talbot and Charlotte Freeman.1 She married Lewes Peake Garland on 9 February 1773.1
     Her married name became Garland.

Anne Hassel1

     Anne Hassel was the daughter of Thomas Hassel.1 She married Sir Charles Henry Talbot, 1st Bt., son of Maj.-Gen. Sherrington Talbot and Elizabeth Medgett, in 1749.1
     Her married name became Talbot.

Sir Charles Talbot, 2nd Bt.

     Sir Charles Talbot, 2nd Bt. was the son of Sir Charles Henry Talbot, 1st Bt. and Anne Hassel.1 He died in November 1812, unmarried.1
     He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Talbot, of Mickleham, Surrey and of Belfast, co. Antrim [G.B., 1790] on 30 June 1798.1 He lived at Mickleham, Surrey, EnglandG.1

Sir George Talbot, 3rd Bt.1

     Sir George Talbot, 3rd Bt. was born on 14 March 1763.1 He was the son of Sir Charles Henry Talbot, 1st Bt. and Anne Hassel.1 He married Anna Preston, daughter of Reverend Thomas Preston, in 1787.1 He died on 10 June 1850 at age 87.1
     He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Talbot, of Mickleham, Surrey and of Belfast, co. Antrim [G.B., 1790] in November 1812.1 On his death, his baronetcy became extinct.1

Anna Preston

     Anna Preston was the daughter of Reverend Thomas Preston. She married Sir George Talbot, 3rd Bt., son of Sir Charles Henry Talbot, 1st Bt. and Anne Hassel, in 1787.1

Lewes Peake Garland1

     Lewes Peake Garland married Indiana Talbot, daughter of Maj.-Gen. Sherrington Talbot and Charlotte Freeman, on 9 February 1773.1 He died in 1780.1
     He lived at Michaelstow, Essex, EnglandG.1

Henrietta Maria Decker1

     Henrietta Maria Decker was the daughter of Sir Matthew Decker, 1st and last Bt. She married Hon. John Talbot, son of Charles Talbot, 1st Baron Talbot of Hensol and Cecil Matthews, in May 1737.1 She died in December 1747, without issue.1
     Her married name became Talbot.

Charlotte Elizabeth Drake

     Charlotte Elizabeth Drake was the daughter of Reverend Thomas Drake. She married George Talbot, son of Rev. Hon. George Talbot and Hon. Anne Bouverie, on 4 January 1789.1 She died in 1817.
