Mary Hood was born on 19 January 1873.1 She was the daughter of Arthur Wellington Alexander Nelson Hood, 2nd Viscount Bridport of Cricket St. Thomas and Lady Maria Georgiana Julia Fox-Strangways.1 She married Sir Herbert Frederick Cook, 3rd Bt., son of Sir Frederick Lucas Cook, 2nd Bt. and Mary Anne Elizabeth Cotton, on 21 April 1898.1 She died on 28 November 1934 at age 61.1,2
