     Catherine Galwey is the daughter of William Galwey and unknown wife (?)1 She married, firstly, Hon. Dominick Sarsfield, son of Dominck Sarsfield, 1st Viscount Sarsfield of Kilmallock and Joan Terry.1
     Her married name became Browne.1 Her married name became Sarsfield.1

John Galwey1

     John Galwey was the son of Edward Galwey and Ellen Goold.1 He married Elizabeth Meade, daughter of Lt.-Col. William Meade and Elizabeth Travers, on 14 January 1674.1 He died from February 1711/12 to February 1712/13.1 His will was proven (by probate) on 17 February 1712/13.1
     He was admitted to King's Inn, Dublin.1 He was also known as John Galway.2 He was admitted to Gray's Inn on 16 May 1668 entitled to practise as a Barrister-at-Law.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Cork in 1689.1 In 1690 his estates were forfeited for adhering to the Jacobite cause.1 He was a Commissioner for applotting tax for County Cork on 10 April 1690.1 On 1 August 1695 he received a Royal Pardon.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for County Cork.1 He lived at Lota, County Cork, IrelandG.1 His last will was dated February 1711/12.
