     Franklyn Lushington was born on 12 April 1820 at Madras, India^G.¹ He was the son of Charles May Lushington and Katherine Ansell.¹ He married Johanna Magdalena Chiappini, daughter of Edward Lorenzo Chiappini and Anna Catharina Margaretha Gie, on 1 June 1854 at St. George's Cathedral, Cape Town, Cape Province, South Africa.¹ He died on 18 January 1890 at age 69 at Bath, Somerset, England.²
     He was Accountant General at Madras, India^G.¹

     Johanna Magdalena Chiappini was born on 13 September 1834 at Cape Town, Cape Province, South Africa.¹ She was the daughter of Edward Lorenzo Chiappini and Anna Catharina Margaretha Gie.¹ She married Franklyn Lushington, son of Charles May Lushington and Katherine Ansell, on 1 June 1854 at St. George's Cathedral, Cape Town, Cape Province, South Africa.² She died in 1887 at Tonbridge, Kent, England.¹
     From 1 June 1854, her married name became Lushington.²

Edward Charles Mortimer Lushington was born on 15 December 1855 at Madras, India^G.¹ He was the son of Franklyn Lushington and Johanna Magdalena Chiappini.² He was baptised on 23 January 1856 at Madras, India.¹ He married Mary Hume, daughter of Major Bliss John Hume and Mary Thring, on 21 January 1877 at Bombay, India.¹ He died on 29 August 1930 at age 74.¹
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Indian Army.¹

     Mary Hume was born on 29 September 1856 at Bath, Somerset, England.¹ She was baptised on 29 September 1856 at Beatheaston, Somerset, England.¹ She was the daughter of Major Bliss John Hume and Mary Thring.^2,1 She married Lt.-Col.
