     Slany O'Brien was the daughter of Connor O'Brien, Prince of Thomond.1 She married Nicholas fitz Maurice, 2nd Baron of Kerry and Lixnaw, son of Maurice fitz Thomas, 1st Baron of Kerry and Lixnaw and Ellen fitz William.1
     Her married name became FitzMaurice.1

     Maurice fitz Nicholas, 3rd Baron of Kerry and Lixnaw was the son of Nicholas fitz Maurice, 2nd Baron of Kerry and Lixnaw and Slany O'Brien.1 He married Honor O'Connor, daughter of unknown O'Connor of Kerry.1 He died in October 1339, in prison, after being captured by Maurice FitzThomas, Earl of Desmond.1
     He succeeded as the 3rd Baron of Kerry and Lixnaw [I., c. 1295] in 1317.1 He held the office of Sheriff of Kerry in 1332.1 He held the office of Sheriff of Kerry in 1334.1 In May 1335 he was summoned to fight against the Scots.1

John fitz Nicholas, 4th Baron of Kerry and Lixnaw1

     John fitz Nicholas, 4th Baron of Kerry and Lixnaw was the son of Nicholas fitz Maurice, 2nd Baron of Kerry and Lixnaw and Slany O'Brien.1 He married, firstly, Honor O'Brien, daughter of unknown O'Brien of Thomond.2 He married, secondly, Elinor fitz Gerald, daughter of Gerald fitz Pierce.2 He died circa 1378.2
     He succeeded as the 4th Baron of Kerry and Lixnaw [I., c. 1295] in October 1339.1 On 10 July 1370 he was taken near Limerick by O'Biren and McCarthy, along with the Earl of Desmond and other nobles.2 He was appointed Knight before 1374.3 In August 1375 he was ordered by the King to arrest his son, Maurice FitzJohn, after Maurice seized the goods of a Bristol merchant at Tralee.2

     Honor O'Brien is the daughter of unknown O'Brien of Thomond.1 She married John fitz Nicholas, 4th Baron of Kerry and Lixnaw, son of Nicholas fitz Maurice, 2nd Baron of Kerry and Lixnaw and Slany O'Brien.1
     She was also known as Margaret O'Brien.1 Her married name became FitzNicholas.1
