     From 28 December 1778, her married name became Lefroy.4

     Edward Knight was born on 10 May 1794 at Godmersham, Kent, EnglandG.2,3,4 He was the son of Edward Knight and Elizabeth Bridges.2 He was baptised on 20 June 1794 at St. Lawrence Church, Goodnestone, Kent, EnglandG.4 He married, firstly, Mary Dorothea Knatchbull, daughter of Rt. Hon. Sir Edward Knatchbull, 9th Bt. and Annabella Christiana Honywood, on 5 May 1826.5,4 He married, secondly, Adela Portal, daughter of John Portal and Elizabeth Drummond, on 3 March 1840.4,6 He died on 5 November 1879 at age 85 at Alton, Hampshire, EnglandG.5,3
     He was given the name of Edward Austen at birth.4 He was educated between 1807 and 1811 at Winchester College, Winchester, Hampshire, EnglandG.4 He matriculated at St. John's College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG, in 1811.4 On 1812 Edward Knight title's name changed to Edward Knight.6 He played cricket for Hampshire and Kent.3 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.)5 He lived at Chawton House, Hampshire, EnglandG.6 He lived at Godmersham Park, Kent, EnglandG.5
