     Iris Hermione Brassey was born on 10 November 1880.1 She was the daughter of Albert Brassey and Hon. Matilda Maria Helena Bingham.1 She married Brig.-Gen. Malcolm Orme Little, son of General Sir Archibald Little and Jane Orme, on 7 July 1903 at St. George's Church, Hanover Square, London, England.1,2 She died on 6 August 1970 at age 89.1
     From 7 July 1903, her married name became Little.1

     Brig.-Gen. Malcolm Orme Little was born on 29 November 1857 at Sussex Square, Paddington, London, England.2 He was the son of General Sir Archibald Little and Jane Orme.1,3 He married Iris Hermione Brassey, daughter of Albert Brassey and Hon. Matilda Maria Helena Bingham, on 7 July 1903 at St. George's Church, Hanover Square, London, England.1,2 He died on 1 February 1931 at age 73 at Rugby, Warwickshire, England.1,2
     He fought in the Second Anglo-Afghan War in 1878.3 He was commissioned on 11 May 1878 with the rank of 2nd Lieutenant, in the service of the 17th Lancers.3 He gained the rank of 2nd Lieutenant on 19 October 1878 in the 9th Lancers.3 He gained the rank of Lieutenant on 25 February 1880.3 In 1886 he played polo for Britain.3 He gained the rank of Captain on 20 October 1886.3 He gained the rank of Major on 5 September 1894.3 He fought in the Boer War, where he was mentioned in dispatches.3 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel on 15 March 1900.3 He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.) in 1904.1 He was appointed Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.)1 He fought in the First World War.3 He gained the rank of Brigade Commander in 1915 in the 2/1st Welsh Border Mounted Brigade.1,3 He retired from the military in August 1917, with the rank of Brigadier-General.3 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Warwickshire in 1923.3

     General Sir Archibald Little was born in 1810 at Camberwell, London, England.2 He was the son of Archibald Little and Agnes Oliver.2 He married, firstly, Jane Orme, daughter of Malcolm Orme and Jane Bonsor, on 7 June 1854 at St. James's Church, Piccadilly, London, England.2 He married, secondly, Elizabeth Loftus, daughter of Lt.-Gen. William Francis Bentinck Loftus and Margaret Harriet Langrishe, in 1870.2 He died on 10 June 1891 at Upton House, Tetbury, Gloucestershire, England.2
     He was appointed Knight Grand Cross, Order of the Bath (G.C.B.)1

     Violet Beatrix Alice Lambton Way was born on 30 April 1883 at Castle Ward, Northumberland, EnglandG.1 She was the daughter of Colonel Wilfred FitzAlan Way and Henrietta Mary Ross.1,2 She was baptised on 6 June 1883 at Newcastle-upon-Tyne, Northumberland, EnglandG.1 She married Major William Edward Long, son of Colonel William Long and Anna Mary Hunter, in 1901 at St. George's Church, St. George Street, Hanover Square, London, EnglandG.1 She died on 3 August 1918 at age 35, drowned in the English Channel when the HT Warilda was torpedoed by a U-Boat.1
     From 1901, her married name became Long.1 She was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1918.1
