Thomas Taylour, 3rd Marquess of Headfort1

     Thomas Taylour, 3rd Marquess of Headfort was born on 1 November 1822.2 He was the son of Thomas Taylour, 2nd Marquess of Headfort and Olivia Stevenson.1 He married, firstly, Amelia Thompson, daughter of William Thompson, on 20 July 1842.2 He married, secondly, Emily Constantia Thynne, daughter of Reverend Lord John Thynne and Anne Constantia Beresford, on 29 November 1875.3 He died on 22 July 1894 at age 71.2
     He held the office of Sheriff of County Meath in 1844.2 He held the office of Sheriff of County Cavan in 1846.2 He was State Stewart to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland between 1852 and 1853.2 He held the office of High Sheriff of Westmorland in 1853.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Conservative) for Westmorland between 1854 and 1870.2 He succeeded as the 4th Viscount Headfort, of Headfort, co. Meath [I., 1762] on 6 December 1870.2 He succeeded as the 4th Earl of Bective, of Bective Castle, co. Meath [I., 1766] on 6 December 1870.2 He succeeded as the 3rd Marquess of Headfort [I., 1800] on 6 December 1870.2 He succeeded as the 2nd Baron Kenlis of Kenlis, co. Meath [U.K., 1831] on 6 December 1870.2 He succeeded as the 6th Baronet Taylor, of Kells, co. Meath [I., 1704] on 6 December 1870.2 He succeeded as the 4th Baron Headfort, of Headfort, co. Meath [I., 1760] on 6 December 1870.2 He held the office of Lord-Lieutenant of County Meath between 1876 and 1894.2 He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) [Ireland] in 1879.2 He was appointed Knight, Order of St. Patrick (K.P.) in 1885.2 He gained the rank of Honorary Colonel in the 4th Battalion, Princess Victoria's Royal Irish Fusiliers.2

Sir George Frederick Stanley and Lady Beatrix Taylour.2,1 She married Major Sir Charles James Buchanan, 4th Bt., son of Sir Eric Alexander Buchanan, 3rd Bt. and Constance Augusta Tennant, on 23 February 1932.1 She died in 1986.1
     From 23 February 1932, her married name became Buchanan.

     Major Sir Charles James Buchanan, 4th Bt. was born on 16 April 1899.1 He was the son of Sir Eric Alexander Buchanan, 3rd Bt. and Constance Augusta Tennant.1 He married Barbara Helen Stanley, daughter of Lt.-Col. Rt. Hon. Sir George Frederick Stanley and Lady Beatrix Taylour, on 23 February 1932.1 He died on 25 May 1984 at age 85.1,2
     He was educated at Harrow School, Harrow, London, EnglandG.1 He was educated at Royal Military College, Sandhurst, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He gained the rank of Major in the Higlhand Light Infantry.1 He fought in the Russian Civil War in 1919, in the North Russian Relief Force.1 He was Aide-de-Camp to the Governor Madras between 1928 and 1932.1 He succeeded as the 4th Baronet Buchanan, of Dunburgh [U.K., 1878] on 29 July 1928.1 He was admitted to the Royal Company of Archers in 1930.1 He fought in the Second World War.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Nottinghamshire in 1952.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Nottinghamshire in 1954.1 He held the office of High Sheriff of Nottinghamshire in 1962.1

Sir John Francis Gathorne-Hardy, son of John Stewart Gathorne-Hardy, 2nd Earl of Cranbrook and Cicely Marguerite Wilhelmina Ridgway, on 10 December 1898.1 She died on 30 December 1963 at age 88.1
     Her married name became Gathorne-Hardy. She held the office of Woman of the Bedchamber to HM Queen Mary.1 She was appointed Dame Commander, Royal Victorian Order (D.C.V.O.)1

General Hon. Sir John Francis Gathorne-Hardy1

     General Hon. Sir John Francis Gathorne-Hardy was born on 14 January 1874.1 He was the son of John Stewart Gathorne-Hardy, 2nd Earl of Cranbrook and Cicely Marguerite Wilhelmina Ridgway.1 He married Lady Isobel Constance Mary Stanley, daughter of Frederick Arthur Stanley, 16th Earl of Derby and Lady Constance Villiers, on 10 December 1898.1 He died on 21 August 1949 at age 75.1
     General Hon.
