     Reverend Charles Powlett was born illegitimately on 28 December 1726.1,2 He was the son of Lt.-Gen. Sir Charles Powlett, 3rd Duke of Bolton and Lavinia Fenton.1 He died on 29 January 1809 at age 82.2
     He was Rector at St. Martin's, Looe, Cornwall, England.2 He was Rector at Itchen, Hampshire, England.2

     Jean Mary Browne-Powlett was born illegitimately circa 1751.1 She was the daughter of Charles Powlett, 5th Duke of Bolton and Mary Browne Banks.1 She married Thomas Orde-Powlett, 1st Baron Bolton of Bolton Castle, son of John Orde and Anne Marr, on 7 April 1778 at St. Marylebone Church, Marylebone Road, Marylebone, London, EnglandG.1 She died on 14 December 1814 at Hot Wells, Bristol, EnglandG.1 She was buried on 24 December 1814 at Old Basing, Hampshire, EnglandG.1
     After her marriage, Jean Mary Browne-Powlett was styled as Baroness Bolton of Bolton Castle on 20 October 1797.

     Thomas Orde-Powlett, 1st Baron Bolton of Bolton Castle was born on 30 August 1740.1 He was the son of John Orde and Anne Marr.1 He was baptised on 2 October 1740 at Morpeth, Northumberland, EnglandG.1 He married Jean Mary Browne-Powlett, daughter of Charles Powlett, 5th Duke of Bolton and Mary Browne Banks, on 7 April 1778 at St. Marylebone Church, Marylebone Road, Marylebone, London, EnglandG.1 He died on 30 July 1807 at age 66 at Hackwood Park, Hampshire, EnglandG.1 He was buried on 8 August 1807 at Old Basing, Hampshire, EnglandG.1 His will was proven (by probate) in August 1807.1
