She lived between 1831 and 1835 at Seamore Place, Mayfair, London, EnglandG.3 She wrote the book Confessions of an Elderly Gentleman, published 1836.3 She lived between 1836 and 1849 at Gore House, Kensington, London, EnglandG.3 She wrote the book The Idler in Italy, published between 1839 and 1840, in three volumes.3 She wrote the book The Idler in France, published 1841.3 On 10 May 1849 she held an auction of some of her effects which raised £12,000 towards her debts.3 She has an extensive biographical entry in the Dictionary of National Biography.4
