Sir Capell Bedell, 1st and last Bt. was born circa 1602.1 He was the son of Sir Thomas Bedell and Winifred Capell.1 He married Alice Fanshawe, daughter of Sir Henry Fanshawe and Elizabeth Smythe, before 1623.1 He died circa December 1643, without male issue.1 He was buried on 14 December 1643 at Hamerton, Huntingdonshire, EnglandG.1 He died intestate and his estate was administered on 28 May 1646.1
He was created 1st Baronet Bedell, of Hamerton, co. Huntingdon [England] on 3 June 1622.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Hertfordshire in 1626.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Huntingdonshire from 1628 to 1629.1 He held the office of Sheriff of Cambridgeshire from 1632 to 1633.1 He held the office of Sheriff of Huntingdonshire from 1632 to 1633.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Huntingdonshire from April 1640 to May 1640.1
