Sir Charles Henry Collett, 1st Bt. was born on 8 July 1864.2 He was the son of Henry John Richard Collett and Jane Johnson Thomas.2 He married, firstly, Lilian Louisa Ionn, daughter of Seymour Ionn, on 20 April 1892.2 He married, secondly, Grace Audrey Ashford, daughter of Thomas Livingstone Ashford, on 30 December 1936.2 He died on 23 November 1938 at age 74.2
He held the office of Lieutenant of the City of London.2 He held the office of Alderman of London between 1927 and 1938.2 He held the office of Sheriff of London between 1932 and 1933.2 He was appointed Knight in 1933.2 He held the office of Lord Mayor of London between 1933 and 1934.2 He was created 1st Baronet Collett, of Bridge Ward in the City of London [U.K.] on 1 November 1934.2
