     John Christian was born on 14 May 1688 at Ewanrigg Hall, Dearham, Cumberland, EnglandG.2 He was the son of Ewan Christian and Mary Cane.1 He married Bridget Senhouse, daughter of John Senhouse and Eleanor Kirby, on 14 May 1717 in a Dearham, Cumberland, England marriage.2 He died on 20 September 1745 at age 57 at Ewanrigg Hall, Dearham, Cumberland, EnglandG.2 He was buried on 25 September 1745 at Dearham, Cumberland, EnglandG.2
     He was educated at Sedbergh School, Sedbergh, Cumbria, EnglandG.3 He matriculated at Trinity College, Dublin University, Dublin, County Dublin, IrelandG, in 1703.2 He was admitted to Gray's Inn on 14 June 1706 entitled to practise as a Barrister-at-Law.2
