He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.1 He was educated at New College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.1 He was an engineer and steam engine driver on the railways (LSWR.)3 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Conservative) for New Forest between 1892 and 1905.3 He was correspondent for The Times during the Matabele War in 1896.3 He succeeded as the 2nd Baron Montagu of Beaulieu, co. Anne Warren was the daughter of Vice-Admiral Sir Peter Warren and Ann de Lancy.1,2 She married Lt.-Gen. Charles FitzRoy, 1st Baron Southampton, son of Captain Lord Augustus Fitzroy and Elizabeth Cosby, on 27 July 1758.3 She died on 13 July 1807.3
