     Frances Erskine was born circa 1773.2 She was the daughter of General Sir William Erskine of Torry, 1st Bt. and Frances Moray. She married Lt.-Gen. William Wemyss, son of Hon. James Wemyss of Wemyss and Lady Elizabeth Sutherland, on 16 September 1788.1 She died on 1 February 1798.1
     Her married name became Wemyss.

     Lady Emma Hay was the daughter of William Hay, 17th Earl of Erroll and Alicia Eliot.1 She married Rear-Admiral James Erskine Wemyss of Wemyss, son of Lt.-Gen. William Wemyss and Frances Erskine, on 8 August 1826.2 She died on 17 July 1841.1
     Her married name became Wemyss.

John Kennedy-Erskine and Lady Augusta Fitz-Clarence.3 She was baptised on 16 June 1831 at Dun, Angus, Scotland.2 She married James Hay Erskine-Wemyss, son of Rear-Admiral James Erskine Wemyss of Wemyss and Lady Emma Hay, on 17 May 1855.3 She died on 11 February 1895 at age 63.3
     Her married name became Erskine-Wemyss.

     Lady Lillian Mary Paulet was born on 26 July 1859.2 She was the daughter of John Paulet, 14th Marquess of Winchester and Hon. Mary Montagu.2 She married Randolph Gordon Erskine-Wemyss of Wemyss, son of James Hay Erskine-Wemyss and Augusta Millicent Anne Mary Kennedy-Erskine, on 18 July 1884.1 She and Randolph Gordon Erskine-Wemyss of Wemyss were divorced in 1898.1 She died on 11 November 1952 at age 93.1
     Her married name became Erskine-Wemyss.

William Wemyss, son of Lt.-Gen. William Wemyss and Frances Erskine, on 14 April 1820.1 She died on 28 July 1868 at age 68.1
     Her married name became Wemyss.

     Francis Charteris, Lord Elcho was born on 31 January 1748/49.2 He was the son of Francis Charteris, 7th Earl of Wemyss and Lady Catherine Gordon.2 He married Susan Tracy-Keck, daughter of Anthony Tracy-Keck and Lady Susan Hamilton, on 18 July 1771.3 He died on 20 January 1808 at age 58.2
     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Haddington Burghs between 1780 and 1787.3 He was admitted to Royal Company of Archers in 1786.2 He was styled as Lord Elcho after 1787.2

     Francis Charteris-Wemyss-Douglas, 8th Earl of Wemyss was born on 15 April 1772.1 He was the son of Francis Charteris, Lord Elcho and Susan Tracy-Keck.1 He married Margaret Campbell, daughter of Walter Campbell, 9th of Skipness and 3rd of Shawfield and Eleanora Kerr, on 31 May 1794.2 He died on 28 June 1853 at age 81.1
     His name was legally changed to Francis Charteris-Wemyss-Douglas.1 He was given the name of Francis Charteris at birth.1 He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.1 He was Aide-de-Camp to Commander of Forces, Scotland, his great-uncle, Lord Adam Gordon.1 He succeeded as the 8th Earl of Wemyss [S., 1633] on 23 December 1810.1 He succeeded as the 4th Lord Douglas of Neidpath, Lyne and Munard [S., 1697] on 23 December 1810.3 He succeeded as the 4th Viscount of Peebles [S., 1697] on 23 December 1810.3 He succeeded as the 4th Earl of March [S., 1697] on 23 December 1810.3 He succeeded as the 8th Lord Elcho and Methil [S., 1633] on 23 December 1810.1 He succeeded as the 8th Lord Wemyss of Elcho [S., 1628] on 23 December 1810.1 He held the office of Lord-Lieutenant of Peebles-shire between 1821 and 1858.1 He was created 1st Baron Wemyss of Wemyss, co.      Francis Wemyss-Charteris, 9th Earl of Wemyss was born on 14 August 1795.1 He was the son of Francis Charteris-Wemyss-Douglas, 8th Earl of Wemyss and Margaret Campbell.1 He married Lady Louisa Bingham, daughter of Richard Bingham, 2nd Earl of Lucan and Lady Elizabeth Belasyse, on 22 August 1817 at Paris, FranceG.2 He died on 1 January 1883 at age 87.1
