     Sir Andrew Moray of Bothwell was born in 1298.1 He was the son of Andrew Moray.2 He married Lady Christina Bruce, daughter of Robert le Brus, 1st Lord Brus and Margaret, Countess of Carrick, after 12 October 1325.1 He died in 1338.1

     Sir John Moray, Lord of Bothwell was the son of Sir Andrew Moray of Bothwell.1 He married Margaret Graham, Countess of Menteith, daughter of Sir John Graham and Mary Stewart, Countess of Menteith, after 21 November 1348.2 He died in 1352 without issue.1,3
     He gained the title of Lord of Bothwell.2 He was appointed Knight.1

     Lady Joan Moray was born between 1339 and 1354. She was the daughter of Morice Moray, 1st Earl of Strathearn and Joan Menteith.1,2 She married, firstly, Sir Thomas Moray, Lord of Bothwell, son of Sir Andrew Moray of Bothwell, before 1361.1 She married, secondly, Archibald Douglas, 3rd Earl of Douglas, son of Sir James Douglas, 6th of Douglas, after 23 July 1362.3 She died between January 1403 and August 1409.2
     From after 23 July 1362, her married name became Douglas. After her marriage, Lady Joan Moray was styled as Countess of Douglas on 14 August 1388.
