     Joana Lucia Dumitrescu-Dolete was born on 24 September 1902 at Bucharest, RomaniaG.1 She was the daughter of Ion Dumitrescu-Tohani and Nella Theodorescu.1 She was also reported to have been born on 24 September 1909 at Bucharest, RomaniaG. She married, firstly, Radu Savianu, son of Nicholas Savianu, on 11 December 1924.1 She and Radu Savianu were divorced in December 1928.1 She married, secondly, Nikolai von Hohenzollern-Sigmaringen, Prince of Romania, son of Ferdinand Viktor Albert Meinrad von Hohenzollern-Sigmaringen, King of Romania and Marie Alexandra Victoria Saxe-Coburg and Gotha, Princess of Edinburgh, on 24 October 1931 at Tohani, RomaniaG.2,3 She was also reported to have been married on 28 October 1931 at Tohani, RomaniaG. She died on 19 February 1963 at age 60 at Lausanne, SwitzerlandG.1
     She was given the name of Joana Lucia Dumitrescu-Tohani at birth.4 In March 1928 her name was legally changed to Joana Lucia Dumitrescu-Dolete.4 After her marriage, Joana Lucia Dumitrescu-Dolete was styled as Joana Prinzessin von Hohenzollern-Sigmaringen on 18 July 1945.4
