Yes, indeed - this is Nottingham Trent Uni - the Nottingham Uni is to the southwest of the city. Reasons - 1) big traffic flows into the city by bus 2) an old railway line being rebiult, offering space for an extra track and 3) strong political pressure, as Nottingham was becoming a depressed area.
