30 march 2004 - Nottingham, UK Trent Street – This new tramway opened in March 2004, using new street tracks in the centre and a shared path with a (reopened) railway line to places in the north of the city. It is planned to extend the system, but British politics makes this a very slow process! One of the fleet of Bombardier trams approaches the current ‘temporary’ terminus at the main railway station.
