- John Miles Ecker (* 12. Oktober 1948 in Los Angeles, Kalifornien) ist ein ehemaliger deutsch-amerikanischer Basketballspieler und -trainer, der in der Basketball-Bundesliga für TuS 04 Leverkusen spielte. Der gebürtige US-Amerikaner war Lehrer am Landrat-Lucas-Gymnasium in Opladen und seit 1974 verheiratet mit der zweifachen Leichtathletik-Olympiasiegerin Heide Ecker-Rosendahl. Die beiden haben zwei Söhne, wobei ihr zweitgeborener Sohn Danny Ecker (* 1977) ein dreimaliger Olympiateilnehmer im Stabhochsprung ist. (de)
- John Miles Ecker (born October 12, 1948) is a German-American former basketball player and coach. He played college basketball for the UCLA Bruins under Coach John Wooden, winning three straight national championships from 1969 through 1971. Ecker played and coached professionally in Germany, where he also became a naturalized citizen in 1977. He also taught at a high school in Germany. Ecker is married to German Olympic gold-medal winner Heide Ecker-Rosendahl. Their son, Danny Ecker, became one of the top German pole vaulters. (en)
