- يعود استخدام مصطلح الطفيلي اليهودي (بالألمانية: Jüdischer Parasit) إلى عصر التنوير. وهو يقوم على فكرة أن يهود الشتات غير قادرين على بناء دولة وبالتالي سيقومون بالهجوم على الدول والشعوب واستغلالها كالطفيليات – التي توصف في علم الأحياء بأنها كائنات أو «أجساد شعوب». غالبًا ما ترتبط هذه الصورة النمطية لليهود بمفهومي المرابي وفصل «الإبداع»، أي الإنتاج و«اليانصيب»، الذي يُعتبر رأس مال غير منتج (رأس مال مالي). في فترة ألمانيا النازية، عملت الحكومة على إضفاء الشرعية على عملية اضطهاد اليهود حتى حدوث الهولوكوست. اتخذ بعض ممثلي الصهيونية أيضًا موقفًا معاكسًا. إذ اعتبروا أن أسلوب الحياة «الطفيلي» على الثقافات الأخرى ليس إلا نتيجة حتمية للشتات اليهودي وقارنوه بإقامة دولة يهودية كمثل أعلى. - „Jüdischer Parasit“ ist ein seit der Zeit der Aufklärung nachweisbares judenfeindliches Stereotyp. Dahinter steht die Vorstellung, die Juden der Diaspora wären zu eigener Staatsbildung unfähig und würden daher Staaten und Völker – die biologistisch als Organismen bzw. „Volkskörper“ imaginiert werden – parasitär befallen und ausnutzen. Das Stereotyp tritt oft verbunden mit dem Vorwurf des Wuchers und der Trennung von „schaffendem“, also produktivem, und „raffendem“, nichtproduktivem (Finanz-)Kapital auf (siehe „Hochfinanz“). Das Stereotyp ist eng mit der Verschwörungstheorie eines „Weltjudentums“ verknüpft. In der Zeit des Nationalsozialismus diente es zur Legitimation der Judenverfolgung bis hin zum Holocaust. In geänderter Ausrichtung wurde das Motiv auch von einigen Vertretern des Zionismus aufgegriffen. - The "Jewish parasite" is a notion that dates back to the Age of Enlightenment. It is based on the idea that the Jews of the diaspora are incapable of forming their own states and would therefore parasitically attack and exploit states and peoples, which are biologically imagined as organisms or "peoples bodies". The stereotype is often associated with the accusation of usury and the separation of "creative", i.e. productive, and "raffling", non-productive financial capital ("High Finance"). In the Nazi period, it served to legitimize the persecution of Jews up to the Holocaust. Some representatives of Zionism also took up the motif. They regarded a "parasitic" way of life in other cultures as an inevitable consequence of the diaspora and contrasted it with the establishment of a Jewish state as an ideal. (en)
