  1. - Standard errors are corrected for as we run Durbin–Wu–Hausman test (augmented regression test) for endogeneity (see Davidson and MacKinnon. 1993). - Further regressions were run for equation 5, when Open80s, Owti and Owqi enter equation 1 alternatively as openness or trade policy proxies. The results, especially for interaction terms remain the same suggesting strong complementarities between institutions and human capital. However we do not state the results here due to space limitations.
