"Girls Talk" is a 1979 song written by Elvis Costello and was first recorded by Dave Edmunds. It was taken from Edmunds' fifth studio album Repeat When Necessary. It went to number 4 in the United States, number 65 in the United Kingdom, number 9 in Australia and number 12 in Ireland. Costello released his version as the B-side to his single I Can't Stand Up for Falling Down.
