Cagayan Valley

region of the Philippines

Cagayan Valley is an administrative region in the Philippines. It is also known as Region II. It is in the northeastern part of Luzon Island. The capital is Tuguegarao City.

It has five provinces: Batanes, Cagayan, Isabela, Nueva Vizcaya, and Quirino.

Most of the region is in a large valley, between the Cordilleras and the Sierra Madre mountain ranges. The Cagayan River flows from the Caraballo Mountains to the Luzon Strait. The region includes the Babuyan Islands and Batanes Islands to the north.
