It is locatit in the east o the oblast an borders wi Dnovsky Destrict in the north, Volotovsky Destrict o Novgorod Oblast in the northeast, Poddorsky Destrict, o Novgorod Oblast an aw, in the east, Bezhanitsky Destrict in the sooth, Novorzhevsky Destrict in the soothwast, an wi Porkhovsky Destrict in the wast. The aurie o the destrict is 2,188 square kilometer (845 sq mi).[4] Its admeenistrative center is the urban locality (a wirk dounset) o Dedovichi.[2] Population: 14,692 (2010 Census);[5] 17,881 (2002 Census);[8] 18,948 (1989 Census).[9] The population o Dedovichi accoonts for 59.9% o the destrict's total population.[5]
