note

Scheduled passenger point to point regional airline based at Carlsbad Palomar airport. Company was founded by Ted Vallas, an aviation entrepreneur who attempted similar operation at Palomar during early 1980s in form of Air Resorts. This company was shut down by local city council due to protest from residents living in vicinity of airport who feared potential noise. Ted Vallas moved his helicopter and Convair 580 modification business to San Diego's Lindbergh field. In 2009, he brought his original idea back. This time modern Embraer ERJ 170 jets were to be used serving regional destinations including flights to Mexico using new passenger terminal built at the airport. The airline received tentative DOT authority, however the FAA would not approve ERJ 170 operations from Palomar. In November 2017, Aerodynamics Inc was purchased and the company transferred their operations to fly under the newly-acquired FAA certification. Scheduled service began in November 2018 initially serving San Jose, Reno-Lake Tahoe and Las Vegas from its base at Palomar. Flights were halted on December 31 2018 due to pilot shortage and technical problems with their aircraft that resulted in numerous flight cancellations.
