Civil airport of entry located only 4km south of downtown Berlin. Designed in 1923 and completed in 1927 Tempelhof is one of the worlds oldest still operating airports. It was first airport to have underground rail station. Tempelhof was the airport used in Berlin airlift when allies supplied West Berliners with victuals during Soviet blockade in 1948.
