I've requested three reviews of the draft, and will adjust the post based upon those. This said, I'll hand this task over to @Gehel for any additional actioning re: T376150: Prepare 5 codfw hosts to serve wdqs-internal from main graph T376151: Cutover wdqs-internal to new split endpoints and any potential need for proxy/load balancing pieces in case any new discrete task should be written up there as well.

@MunizaA okay if feedback comes in a week or two (or even three)? Just wanted to know if it's on a time-sensitive critical path - folks are handling some matters with some time sensitivity.

Update: Search Platform has reviewed further, and it intends to stick with its decision to migrate to OpenSearch. https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Wikimedia_Search_Platform/Decision_Records/Search_backend_replacement_technology has been updated.

Okay, I'm caught up on the patches. I see from the activity in https://gerrit.wikimedia.org/r/c/mediawiki/extensions/Popups/+/1076827 that it looked like it was okay for the change to be done from search engineering.

Note to selves: it's believed that T375557: Reindex all wikis to enable folding harmonization and new functionality will have a side effect of fixing this issue.

HI @ItamarWMDE . The task got auto-tagged for Search Platform triage based on its early tags, so it got visibility while going through the backlog last week. It's moved to the Blocked/Waiting column on the Search Platform's board, with the understanding that the probable next step is for the Wikidata team (and Search Platform can be looped for any necessary code review). Now, this said, is there any dependency from the Wikidata team for Search Platform?

@Joe checking - is Q2 FY 24-25 still looking good for Service Ops containerization work? Or is it looking more like Q3? Either way, any guesses on rough range of dates in which this effort might start?
