It is no longer possible to click links within visualeditor's popupWidget

Description

Steps to replicate the issue :

What happens?:

  • Nothing

What should have happened instead?:

  • The links should be clickable and should open in a new tab

(Tested in both the latest Firefox and Chromium)

I'm not sure I understand the user story behind this. This is a preview in the context of VisualEditor's editing UX. Not the Popups extension. Interacting with the content in the context of VisualEditor is done via the "Edit" button.

Users expect to be able to follow the links in the preview - to check on the source while editing. Link contexts work the same way. If you feel this functionality needs to change we should file a task explicitly for that and discuss the pros and cons there.
