Investigate how easy/hard it would be to enable adding the caption text input in the editing surface as per the Concept B prototype in user testing, as this is the likely design to be implemented on T290781. This is based on user testing results showing clear advantages in user understanding and quality of captions added in this design.

At some point we'll want to support infoboxes, which is probably the more problematic part. For a normal thumbnail there is a caption area which can be identified and turned into an edit area. In an infobox, the caption is generated by an infobox template; there is no telling exactly where and how it will show up.

Hi @RHo, one clarification: during this caption stage, should the rest of the editing surface be uneditable (so the user could only enter text into the caption input field)?

I'm moving this off the current sprint board as we have other priorities at the moment, but if someone disagrees, feel free to move it back & we can discuss.
