I edited the page https://nl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Penitenza and removed a non-existing image from the code. Later I discovered part of the text was copyright violation and per local rules I removed the copyright violation from the article and rev-deleted the versions containing that text, which included the revision in which I removed the image reference.
Returning to my watchlist I noticed the strikethrough formatting of the category name.
I checked the HTML code and noticed the span with the class history-deleted
<td class="mw-changeslist-line-inner"> <span class="mw-title"><span class="history-deleted"><a href="/wiki/Categorie:Wikipedia:Pagina%27s_met_onjuiste_bestandsverwijzingen" class="mw-changeslist-title" title="">Categorie:Wikipedia:Pagina's met onjuiste bestandsverwijzingen</a></span></span> <span class="mw-changeslist-links"><span>9 bewerkingen</span></span> <span class="mw-changeslist-separator"></span> <span class="changedby">[<a href="/wiki/Speciaal:Bijdragen/80.60.112.232" class="mw-userlink mw-anonuserlink" title="Speciaal:Bijdragen/80.60.112.232"><bdi>80.60.112.232</bdi></a>; <a href="/wiki/Gebruiker:Geschiedschrijver" class="mw-userlink userlink" title="Gebruiker:Geschiedschrijver"><bdi>Geschiedschrijver</bdi></a> (2×); <a href="/wiki/Gebruiker:Mbch331" class="mw-userlink userlink" title="Gebruiker:Mbch331"><bdi>Mbch331</bdi></a> (3×); <a href="/wiki/Gebruiker:CommonsDelinker" class="mw-userlink userlink" title="Gebruiker:CommonsDelinker"><bdi>CommonsDelinker</bdi></a> (3×)]</span></td>
This only happens to the category, not the actual page.
I would have expected it the other way around, because the history of the category hasn't been altered
